LOOK AT HIM. He looks so silly, but handsome, but also psychotic. He wears who he is, through everything.
As any Hazbin Hotel watcher knows, Alastor is one of the most talked about and loved characters in the entire show. And honestly, rightfully so. He's my favorite character, and here's why.
1. He's sassy. This alone should be enough to qualify him as the best. His humor is dry and rough, but that plays well into his character, and it makes it even better. He ain't afraid to call someone a bitch, and he does it in the most humbling, yet hysterical way.
2. He is always smiling. Everybody has heard "you are never fully dressed without a smile." Alastor says that a smile is a weapon, and I actually agree. It can be tough to hide your emotions, but a smile can help you when you need it the most. He tells it how it is, and a lot of his social power comes from constantly having a smile. It's a brilliant character choice.
3. He's got some shit going on. Like, someone owns his soul, which isn't uncommon, but strange for powerful overlords. I think that he's constantly internally freaking out because he's not the one on control. But he has this complete confidence and cool that shows he has everything under control, which is a very powerful thing to have.
4. Simply what he looks like. The color scheme, the weird ears that might be hair, the antlers, the suit, the monocle, the cane, everything. I don't know how you couldn't find him cool. Also, his design is based off of a wendigo, which is really cool when you cross-reference that with the tendencies of his personality.
5. The theories. There are so many theories, both in the show, and from the fans. They're just really cool to read/hear.
Anyways, that's why I think Alastor is the best character in Hazbin Hotel. Thanks for coming on my mini-rant with me!
